Broadeye Windmill Illuminations!

Anybody seen the dancing silhouette, cogs and moving text on the windmill, tonight? We may be closing down factories, shops and laying off staff apace, but our windmill animations will become legendary.

Nice footage BoD.. I believe it was the 2nd birthday of Stafford Radio based in the windmill... saw it from Sainsbury's, well impressive!

It was done on my camera phone so excuse the poor footage. It gives you the idea. Sort of.

Top job!

Finger on the pulse.

Of course, a 'proper journalist' would have stood in front of the camera and blocked the view a bit better, whilst describing what was behind him.

Excellent!

I saw some lights yesterday and did wonder, but alas i missed the animation show.

Well done to all involved though, thumbs up to the radio lot and windmill lot.

The Broad Eye Windmill illuminations were back on tonight I think, well they were when I was going past the college. Think it was to do with Stafford Radio?

Gutted that I've only just seen this post! Does anyone have any info of if and when it will run again? I would love to see it.

It seems it was. Such a shame.

Give me a bunch of lighting, sound gear and a computer and I'd love to animate the windmill for Christmas. I've just looked at the video again and it appears it was mostly done by a laser rather than actual lights.

It looks like it was picked up by BBC Midlands Today. https://www.facebook.com/midlandsto...15434424761/10152915430204761/?type=1&theater

Seems a shame it's only done once a year. I think you'd have to get in touch with the radio/windmill lot if you wanted to do that... unless you can do it without them noticing?...
