There is a great little community building up at Woodings Yard, which will only get better when the Old Library finally reopens.

Candid is now on my regular pub crawl.

Candid, Floodgate, The Sun, Rose and Crown and Slaters are my usuals.

I tend to go to the BiH with the family for lunch but it's no longer on my favourite drinking pub list. It's still a very good pub, but I prefer others.

My pub crawl is very fluid (excuse the pun) and varies depending on who im with. It always includes the floodgate, slaters and candid, however others come and go. I've only recently dropped the BiH for the Rose and Crown.

When I go out I only have 6 or 7 pints so I have to be very selective as to where I drink.

I'd be crawling on the floor after that many, or sat on the loo for hours!

As someone who has only walked down the high street twice this year, where's Woodings Yard?

I have two young children at home and they love to wake me at 6.30am every morning by jumping on me, so I try and avoid having a hangover.

Last week I had a hangover and gymstastics at 8.30am with my two children. It was hell!

I’ve avoided siring children because I prefer the company of hangovers

That's in fact the old, old library - next to the old cinema, past Nirvana and if you get to TKMaxx you've gone too far

To those that still call that the old library, the one behind the Shire Hall was the new library and whatever is there wherever it is now is barely referred to at all and doesn't really need an 'official' term.

It’s the eternal battle between being sober enough to drive to gymnastics on a Saturday morning versus the fact I now take two nights to recover from a night out so can’t drink on a Saturday night :D
