Cannock Chase

hey all!

Since the lockdown, felt really lazy and sluggish! Been going to Cannock Chase for brisk walks and the occasional bike ride.

Little lost though, when I go. I obviously know the colour paths for cyclist ect, but does anyone know of an area that’s rather picturesque to walk through there?

There are so many lovely walks and if you go to the visitor centre you can get maps of all the different routes.
It’s just massive and such a lovely area, so much to explore.

I might be being completely naive here, but people are people, they might be famous or popular on social media but they still
move house and want to find out about the local area.

I like to initially give someone the benefit of the doubt.

but to be fair, I did get taken in by Katniss so what do I know?

However on the upside, it’s another positive advert for Cannock Chase.

 

I think almost the whole of Cannock Chase is picturesque, so you can't go far wrong.

Personally I tend to avoid places like Milford as that's where the crowds seem to head for. I've been going on the Chase for many years and one of the things I like is that, from time to time, you'll still come across places you didn't know were there.

I'd recommend starting with Sherbrook Valley and then trying out the many trails that run off there.
