I got out just before the rain so avoided the queues luckily. I only got plants today, 3 types of irises and lots of assorted veg for the allotment that I've been to disorganised to plant myself. Can't beat the boot for plants price wise.

bargain, Mosquito Coil Insect Repellent 8 Hour Pack of 10, I got 2 packs for 50p, and I got 3 150 watt bulbs for 50p each, they don't sell them any more and I need a good light in the shed and in the comp room.
I'm still looking for some carpet tiles for my van though.

edit: punctuation!

How do I edit this?
Got some records; The Beatles Red album LP, One nation under a groove by Funkadelic 45, Life on Mars by Bowie 45, and a random LP of hawaiian guitar because I thought the cover was funny. All for £1 :).

The weather seemed to mean that most of it was already packing up by the time I got there at 10.45 though...

Do you know what boot sales are on next weekend (Sunday and Monday)?
I presume the common is on Sunday and Eccleshall on Monday

Well, not the most exciting offerings today, although I did get a Timetable of History from Bob and Speak for a most reasonable price - as a result of their final-stage marketing strategy, which seemed to take no account of the requirements of the income stream. Their dodgy horror videos seem to have been snapped up..

I also obtained another Jena wespenfalle - you can't be too careful and I can't always find my bike clips in a hurry. I also got a Red Sea Root Therm underwater heater - intended for a fish tank, but it may serve to avoid a frozen tank in the loft if we are back to having annual winters now.

There seemed to be quite a few items based on language tuition today - I spotted French, Italian, Spanish, German and Serbo-Croat - at least.

The jury is out as to whether these are actually any good for aquariums with much debate between factions of the planted tank brigade (they are a right rowdy lot) of the pros and cons of heating plant roots, and the effectivness.

But as you are thinking of putting it in your loft tank to prevent freezing, i'm sure it will do the job nicely :)

What did she expect you to do? Buy a bucketful and bring it back??..
It would probably have been my fault if fuses blown, (I have been known to do that), but I found all the traffic lights out on the way home, so it wasn't me.
and reference another thread, the traffic had no problems at all!

I got 3 ink cartridges for my canon A3 printer for 50p each, and 2 tubes of wood filler for 50p, not a bad result at all.
It was darn cold though, or maybe I just got used to the warm weather.

Went to the A34 boot sale early yesterday prior to visiting the common, nothing of interest for me at either although I think the Stafford / Stokie junk was of a slightly higher quality than the Cannock junk.
