Saw a banner outside Ex and Star offices. Cannock phone number. Told by reception staff months ago that they have no reporters based there. Wonder how long they will even be in Stafford.

Glad to report the caravans left Primepoint in the week. They seem to have left quite a lot of rubbish around along with the Cancer Research Charity trailer too! I can't understand why they're surprised when people are a bit annoyed at having to clean up after them all the time.

Well if (and I said IF!!! before anyone starts) they have been making money on the pretence of it going to cancer research, then frankly they deserve every negative comment on here 10 times over. Would be interesting to find out from Cancer Research if the trailer was genuine or not.

Whereever these sites turn up, you are ALWAYS left with huge piles of general rubbish, human waste and fly tipped rubble/garden waste. The travellers don't foot the bill; they don't pay council tax, and will probably never face a prosecution from the local authority for fly-tipping. What the council should do is approach the Police, who will almost certainly have recorded the details of those on the 'site' and take a class action against them for the fly-tipping. Civil or Criminal, I don't really care.

As for 'making-money' go here http://wanted.crimestoppers-uk.org/ and use the search bar on the left to look only for 'distraction burglary' offences. That should tell you all you need to know. Old People save lots in their houses.

When I worked in a Day Centre for Homeless folks, in the 70's, traveller's used to come in, and firstly offer people work labouring, (no pay up front!) Then when they got no taker's, tried to cary/shove people out! Got some very nasty threats when I stopped them, and we had to call the Police! They didn't return!

I don't wish this appearing in a 'Post' article, or anywhere else! I am probably predjudice, but it happened in Rochdale, and I am lucky not to bear any permanent scars! What they threatened to do to me!

And then they get offended when people call them pikeys? it's not racism as they're not a race of people. Race by its definition suggests someone who originated from a specific country and if you're traveling around all the time how can your origin be pinpointed?
