Howdy folks,

Shameless plug time I'm afraid.

Qualified carpenter and experienced handyman available for virtually any kind of maintenance / installation / repairs or mods, including but not limited to:

Kitchen installations, fencing, garden furniture, garage / attic storage & flooring, furniture repairs, shed building, tiling repairs, bathroom fitting, custom furniture, music studio design / fit-out, hobby / craft workshop design / installation, garden clearance / maintenance, BBQ construction, block laying...

ANY work considered, even simple things like installing door-locks or putting up shelving. You will also find my rates very reasonable, I'm not in this to make a massive profit at the expense of my customers, just simply keeping the roof over my head. I can also work around specific needs such as working outside of office hours (if you have small ones to think about for example) or weekend work.

Worth noting for larger projects that I'm also a qualified CAD designer, so can assist with the planning stages of larger projects.

All work guaranteed for 12 months from sign-off. Free quotes. References upon request.

I can be reached on 07746 451629, or by leaving a message on here (which may take a little longer).

Thanks for reading - Jay Tilley

What about laying a garden path and cutting back (with removal of trimmings) quite a large laurel hedge (it's cut back every year so the growth is quite soft)?

Hi Cazzer, would you be looking at a concrete path, or slab laying? I can do either depending on your requirements. With regards to the laurel, I can certainly take a look at that as well. When you say large, how much has it spread roughly?

Could you banjax a fireplace securely onto a fire hole? May need a self supporting skin of bricks laying?

Funny you should ask that, I was wondering if he would be able to fit me a cat flap in a linoleum floor. I should think the skill sets required are similar.

Also, NJ, I would be interested in a quote for a long weight for my front door, possibly needing some sky hooks for support?

Please don't encourage him.

This may be possible, although I'm making no promises on this one, so I'd need to take a look and see what's involved. Is the surround a ceramic / stone type, or moulded timber?

Ironically, not far off actually...

Afraid I've only got a short one lad. Sky hooks I can do, and I asked my supplier about the vertical striped paint for you. Unfortunately, he only had horizontally striped, but if you turn the can on the side it should work fine. ;)

Another recommendation from me .
Fitted shelves, meters boxed in and floorboards repaired along with a number of smaller jobs.
All done to high standard.

Thats a point for me eh Jay???? :)
