Hi,

I play in the band so anything you want to know I can try to answer. (apart from what will the set list be?) In general our show is about three hours long and split pretty much in half between the Gabriel material and the Collins material. That way we hope that we will please as many people as possible. As well as the music we have a pretty nice light show that is all pre programmed to try to imitate what Genesis themselves did.

We're really looking forward to the gig and it's especially exciting for me as I'm the only one in the band who is from Stafford. We had a great night a few weeks ago at the O2 Academy in Liverpool so we're raring to get going again.

Cheers Whereschris. Looking forward to the gig immensely and to see which tracks I remember. Impressed with the video and that you played the O2. Used to play keyboards years ago and still love listening to Tony Bank's input into the band so will be interested to hear your take on them too.

I hope it's not a disappointment! We had a lovely rehearsal last night so that always feels good. Do you have a favorite era?

Disappointment never!!! Favourite would say around the transition from Gabriel to Collins. Trick of the tail area 1978. Was saddened a little when they left super group status to pop group but so did everyone else of the big guys. Look at YES when 90125 came out.

A fantastic contribution to Prog Rock. Shame it died...... But thanks to you guys it lives on........

I love that stuff era too. Their live stuff was great right through to the end though. Hope to see you on Friday. I'm the bassist by the way.

Agree all round and must be great to play live. You probably won't see me in the mass of faces however I look forward to hearing Mike Rutherford come to life and do you play authentic Moog Taurus pedals as I believe he used to? Surprised if you did rare as rocking horse shite and well getting on now so reliability becoming a major issue.

I really hope that there is a mass of faces!

We use MIDI Taurus pedals which are much more reliable. We use a combination of sounds including the Moog Taurus VSTs. I believe that when Genesis last toured they took about 4 or 5 sets of Taurus because of the reliability. You should certainly feel the pedals kick in!

Hi Chris. A brilliant night thanks to you and the band. Far exceeded my expectations in every quarter. Light show was stunning. Sound clear though volume over took quality at times. You were right about the VST pedals really bought out the sub's. forgive me saying but to me your were a very passable Greg Lake and all of you were superb instrumentalists. Brian's take on the front men was accurate. Gabriel being more than a little quirky and eccentric and Collins an irritating cockney t**t. Will be in the audience in October for the best value ticket on the planet. You must of been knackered after 3 hours solid playing.

Thank the guys for putting on a great show and anyone reading this who likes all forms of genesis music. Watch out for Octobers show. You will not be disappointed.

Thanks for your kind words! We loved the gig and the audience were great which always helps. It's not the first Greg Lake comparison I've had. In fact, Andy the keyboard player finds it hilarious!

Cannot compare Andy with that hairy keyboard killer Keith Emerson so that's why he laughs. Be flattered as Greg Lake is like you a great artist.

Hope you got a lie in this morning.....

The show was excellent and exceeded my expectations as well. The sound quality was outstanding. I would definitely recommend it to any Genesis fans and anyone who has not delved into the world of progressive rock. It was nice to see some younger faces too. Mr King senior who has seen Genesis a number of times now throughout the years thoroughly enjoyed it. Mrs King had not heard any of the tracks from the Gabriel era but was pleasantly surprised at how much she liked it, particularly Suppers Ready which she said was the absolute b*ll*cks (I have been asked to purchase a cat suit off eBay as a result).

Thank you all for a superb night of music.

Agree with all points however will leave the catsuits on Ebay for folk with more flattering figure...

Just though that I would let those of you who came to the last gig that we are at the Gatehouse again in a couple of weeks. On the 9th October to be specific. This time we are doing the Peter Gabriel only show. We will play Selling England By The Pound in it's entirety as well as other Gabriel treats. I hope to see some of you there!
