Although I'm not convinced electric cars are the planet-saving future, maybe Staffs worthies could have one rather than a 25mpg Jag. At least they won't disturb the homeless when they're out and about doing good works.

To get a car in that body type (you never see anyone official in a Fiesta-shaped car do you?) you have pretty much one choice right now: A Tesla Model S. That would be quite a bit more expensive than a Jag.

Also it would mean they'd have to actually renew their maintenance contracts with the charge point companies. The ones in the tech park have been in and out of operation for ages because the contract ran out

On that note, car body style categorisation is utter rubbish. You wouldn't class a Ford Fiesta and a Ford Mondeo as looking at all similar - but for some reason we base the body style on the boot and thus you can get them both as Hatchbacks.
