Cheap Stafford Leaflet Distribution

I'm currently delivering leaflets in the Stafford area and thought I'd throw out an offer to anyone who is interested. From what I can tell, prices tend to range from £30 per 1000 leaflets for the very basic of options and then upwards for specific requests and such.

So I'll offer £25 per 1000 leaflets and if you want some specific arrangements, we can discuss it. Drop me a message here if you're interested and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

I'll be doing a drop over the next few days so if you're interested, be quick. The area will probably be central Stafford like Stone, Sanding or Eccleahall Road.

Hello there,
I used to use services like this to deliver to houses. Would you consider giving us pricing to deliver to businesses only? (ie. industrial estates)

I'm no longer doing this as I realised my own leaflets work better alone. Due to the costs of having someone else do a solus delivery for me I now find it cheaper to give my kids some pocket money to help me.
Good luck with it though - I personally found it was too much effort for too little profit :)

Apologies for missing this! I thought I had set up email notifications but apparently that doesn't exist! Just for the record I would have done this and can still if you need it.

Yeah it's not a huge profit by any means but it depends on the day really. I'll also point out that I'm only doing solus deliveries anyway as I'm only delivering for one person at a time and it tends to be different areas anyway. I'd always ask or state it if I can't do a solus.

Are you still doing this, crimsonfox?
Only asking because so many of us try this and then, shortly after, give it up! Are you finding it "doable" for this price of £25 per 1,000?

What kind of distribution rate are you managing (drops per week)? I'm currently in the process of trying a new leaflet design out myself (test run of 1,000 which i'm distributing myself), but if it proves successful then I might be looking at having an initial 5,000 delivered - depending on how many you could manage per week.

As I'm just doing it for some extra cash, i'm not minding doing it at £25/1000. If it were a business I could easily see it being difficult at that level.

Distribution rates really depend on area. I can get up to 2000 done a week in the higher density areas, maybe more. If i'm doing areas closer to home I can go out more often as well pushing this up a bit. Terrible weather pushes it down though but I can stand some rain.

I've done 400 in doxey in one hit today, on my own, which took me 2 solid hours. This was the Conway road / Fern drive estate. Bear in mind there aren't any massive front gardens and hardly any gates, plus alot of doors are next to eachother etc. This is what kills me....

... Based on that being quite an average estate, that's 200 leaflets PER HOUR. 1,000 therefore takes about 5 hours work so you're already down to below minimum wage. Add other companies leaflets and you then bump that up again, but in turn slow yourself down due to the extra hassle / weight etc. Its why I gave it up.
Now, what I wonder is HOW exactly do leaflet distribution companies quote around £30 per 1,000. By the time they've paid the poor sods that do the graft, surely there can't be much left in it for themselves for organizing it all??

ANYWAYS... back to my original path of thought now. My new business idea for which I posted 400 leaflets today generated me 5 calls before the day was out. 2 turned into "no goes", 2 are being dealt with next week so I've yet to see if they materialize, and one is looking to have turned into about a £40 repair job despite that not being the service advertised. They say hit ratio's these days should be expected to be 1 in 1000 for most businesses - so I'm extremely impressed with my 1 in 100 on the day of distribution alone. I will definitely want some delivering in the near future and i've got an order in with my printers as we speak. Only small A6 ones, so easy to manage. I'll possibly only book in for 1000 initially and see what prevails but I'll contact you when I am good to go if that's okay? I won't mind where they're delivered so you can just chuck them in with wherever you are up to at the time.

Sorry for the lengthy post!!

I think it must be the fact that they must have a whole bunch of people on the books. If they're making a small amount from each person then when they've got so many, which they can paying very cheaply, it'll start making some money. Add that together with customised deliveries that they charge more for, I'm sure there's something in there, be one hell of a business to start up though.
