As a lover of mexican food I welcome it, but I have seen two mexican food places close in Stafford over the years, so I honestly do not think it will last long.

I do hope we are able to attract some more restaurants to the town as I do think we desperately lack culinary variety in Stafford.

Just had a quick browse of the menu, all pretty generic and prices not that keen. Don't get me wrong, I'll still give it a go, but nothing is jumping out at me that I really want to try*. Its no shock the Indian restaurants thrive when they do a starter/main/rice for cheaper than a double burger here.

* I am ill though, and having just ate some soup realised I can't taste anything which may account for that!

Talking of Mexican - just noticed that Brewers Fayre (Redhill) do a "Chefs Counter" (all you can eat) Mexican on Monday nights....

Anyone ever been?

Never seen that. TBH I don't rate redhill very highly at all but sometimes when the weather is crap and you've got kids to entertain....

EDIT: A lot of vegan offerings there (sides anyway), and a very informative menu when you click something for more info.

I used to go, and I second Littleme's response....hardly any taste to it and very generic. I guess it may take on some appeal after a skin full of ale

Chiquito's menu is pretty decent, though the drinks are on the expensive side.

The Burrito Burger is a particular fav of mine

Oh no, don't say that littleme.... I LOVE mexican food so the opportunity of "AYCE" on it was amazing... now i'm sad :(
Sozzard, didn't mean to make you sad.
If its any consolation we went when it first started doing them, so it may well of got better since...

Also, I like my Mexican on the hot hot hot side & it was VERY bland - you'll just have to wait for Chiquitos

Spouting nonsense since the day I learned to talk
Chiquitos are expensive from what I've seen on their website.

£10.45 for a burger.

You tried the inferno hot wings at the hungry horse? Not bad for a chain pub, pretty warm. Shame its just sauce chucked on wings though, be better if they were properly marinated overnight.
