The missing bit is in my neighbours house as they have their tree up already.
Have they got their lights up? And have you joined in yet?

There's a house up the Weston Road, nearish to the Hospital, got a tree up and everything, saw it other night as I was heading up there. Taxi driver didn't believe me, said he was going have a nose as he headed back down.

I get offended when I see someone in light brown shoes. How dare they wear light brown shoes. I dislike light brown shoes so why the hell should they like light brown shoes.

I'd suggest having a couple more pints might help you there.

I have light brown shoes....feel free to be offended whilst I stand in the field to which all my f**ks are grown......lay your eyes upon it and see that it is barren.

For a year, I went to a school where someone had managed to think up an original pointless rule - black shoes outside, brown shoes inside - I had a pair of very dark brown shoes that could be successfully used in both locations most of the time, although there would be a greater number of queries raised in the brighter weather.

But this was Lincolnshire and there was very little bright weather.

I saw the first tree being put up in the market square. Thought it must have been vandalised or something as a few official looking guys had been joined by passers by and looking doubtfully at it! (I had to walk up and over the ramp in the back of the picture to get past....if I'd have walked a bit slower you might have spotted my purple hair :D )

I watched them out the first one and the second one up. I thought the first one, although a little wonky and shorter was a nicer tree. I watched them cut all the dead brown bits out of the second one and the bottom branches were decidedly floppy (dead) so I doubt it will last out Christmas.

My Mother always told me never trust a man in brown shoes.

I'm not sure about that one...

But she always said avoid men who wear denim on denim...

Thus far that has been reliable...

Back on track - Christmas lights switch on was lovely and festive - even if some of the fireworks seemed a bit close for comfort for some of the crowd. Tree and town looked lovely.
