I've just been to get my Christmas tree! Yippee!!
I've had a good look around at all sorts of places and really just wanted to recommend Greenhearts!
Its just outside Hopton and is a family run business going for 19 years!
The lady there is so lovely so just wanted to encourage everyone to go and have a look and support a local company!
Most large shops will just chuck the trees that don't sell, but at Greenhearts if it doesn't sell they stick it back in the ground to grow a bit more for next year!
Most of their trees are in pots but they do also have cut ones!
Its so nice there!
Open 10 - 4!

Got mine from Asda - £15 for a pot grown one which I plan to stick in the garden in Jan until Christmas next year.

Twas about 5ft tall as it stood in its pot... not massive, but once on a table it'll be spot on for us.

Having killed 2 real ones over the last few years we have opted for a plastic one, £6.66 from sainsbury's (yes, that amused me too). It took me ages to find one that wasn't pre lit with fiber optics.

How much were they please? We usually buy one from up the chase, but the idea of getting one in a pot and sticking it in the garden after appeals.

Hi, sorry for late reply, they are priced between £18 - £28 dependent on size.
Mine was £24 and a good 2 meters tall.

Unfortunately that is my last picture of Dave, he passed away this morning :(

Beware of stolen trees..

Staffordshire Police said:
Officers from Newcastle Borough Local Policing Team (LPT) are appealing for information after hundreds of pounds worth of Christmas trees were stolen.

The theft happened sometime overnight between Saturday 8 December to Sunday 9 December when offenders forced their way through a hedge and stole around 50 trees from Keele Christmas Tree Farm, Station Road, Keele.

Ten trees were recovered in a nearby field but 40 are outstanding. They are Fraser Ferns and worth around £600 in total.

Witnesses, or anyone that is offered a tree under suspicious circumstances, are asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 249 of December 9. Alternatively, they can contact independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

We got one from this place after reading this. Good value for money, but perhaps not the most aesthetically pleasing. However all the best ones probably went straight away.
