I apologise if it's been seen already, but it is quite interesting and seems to be up to date.

This is the Stafford page;

Most interesting.

Happy days...The Crispin, where I was quite possibly the worst barmaid ever encountered (they let me feed the goat and make sandwiches instead of glowering at the drinkers)...the Malt & Hops, where I was hauled in through the back window when the pub had been deemed too full for further custom. Christmas Eve, I think and we were all too young to be in there....the wonderful Eagle where I spent far too many evenings reading the papers, listening to the music and petting one of the resident dogs. There was a magnificent conker trophy on the fireplace, I remember. And Robert Plant popped in one night...upstairs at the Falcon for jazz I mostly didn't understand.
It doesn't make sense, really, we've got more people and fewer pubs. Where on earth does everyone go?

Such a pity to see the Firkin and Bird close. Best pub in Stafford was Props. They don't make them like that anymore!!!!

All that is left are boring chain pubs!!!
