This could be down to the police clampdown on people driving down the main street of Stafford. Taxi drivers dropping of the old and infirm, people depositing cash into the night safe. You know the type, scum of the earth.

This important action, which will result in a fine or an education course is long overdue and will result in a reduction of the hundreds of people injured on Greengate Street every year.

Unmarked car at the Sandon Road Shell a bit back - paperwork being filled in - not sure what it was all about.

As I was coming into town about an hour ago a black VW Golf on the Stone road went straight ahead from the right hand lane at Holmcroft road lights cutting up the car waiting to go straight ahead.

It then shot off at about twice the speed limit. An unmarked police car was waiting at the lights heading the other direction and lit up its blues and did a U turn.

Could be they chased them from there to the Sandon road.

Possibly - there was no other vehicle that was an obvious target as i passed.

Walking dog (pictured) as they were there. Was also a man they seemed to be keeping an eye. My wife said he had a domestic.

I understand, from internet surveillance, that an incident near the Prison has been attended by three cop cars, but everything* is now under control.
