Sell the World
I had a dream,
That everyone loved everybody.
The sky was blue,
The earth was green,
The rivers deep,
The ocean clean.
Then the blood,
Started to run.
Before life,
Had even begun.
I had a friend,
With the greenest eyes
She couldn't pretend.
The world for a kiss,
The darkest kind of desire,
Upon her lips.
Then the sun,
Began to rise.
The stars were falling,
Right out of the sky.
I had a dream,
That everything,
Was simple and easy.
No-one lied,
And everyone tried.
To find the truth,
And set it free.
But money,
Made you and I a slave.
And man would sell his soul,
To be king for a day.
