Did anyone see anything about...

Is that a Moomin?
BMW drivers in Germany are worse than here :P But then I think all drivers are worse out there and the frenchies are the absolute pits along with italians...Why do the countries that make the best cars have the worst drivers?

France makes ok cars, but they fall to bits. Italians make nice cars but they fall to bits quicker. Even compared to a pre-90's skoda I wouldn't say either country produced anything better :P

Edit: Have you ever been to Egypt?

I really resent that, not your comment because it's bang on, but the was BMW drivers act like nobs and give the car this stigma.
this stigma has been around for ages.. so much so that bmw drivers of recent years have got wise to it, and now are buying audis.. i absolutely love audi, and it's such a shame that audi drivers are the new bmw drivers :gonk:

Yup big fan of Audi too, and I agree that they are the new BMW. The A3 is becoming the new rep-mobile, there are hundreds of them on the tech park. Still, on the plus side it means in a couple of years there will be loads of them available, coupled with the CC, maybe I'll but two - one for spares :D

defo.. i said exactly the same thing a while ago; it's such a shame..

i was followed to work by the most gorgeous A3 this morning.. 08 plate, sparkling ice-white paintwork, privacy glass, black wheels, etc.. looked the absolute bomb.. and behind the wheel was some guido-looking kid, doing his best to look as hard as possible, but failing miserably when he shit his keks trying to put his seatbelt on when he saw a copper coming the other way.. bell end

With regard to them being common I have never viewed it as a disadvantage, especially for the more luxury cars, its because they are good cars that everyone wants / has them.

Second hand TTs are down below 6k for one with a (soon to be) blown tubby which is also worth considering!

Think I know the one you're on about - see it around quite a bit now... it does indeed look gorgeous. Does he always drive around with those LED's on the front too? - I wasn't sure on them at first but on that it looks fantastic!

Yeah Audi is great but sit inside it and take off any audi branding and you could well be in a volkswagon or a top end skoda or seat. I think this is cheeky

True, but VW aren't exactly a poor man's choice either! I do like VWs, used to have a Polo years ago.

A lot more goes into an Audi than meets the eye, for example when the 1.8T was the popular sport option, they made nothing of it yet it roared past Golf GTi's. Another key point is the quattro system with limited slip - makes cornering at insane speeds a joy and at normal speeds safer than anything. Then there's sound and vibration refinement, materials used, build quality, equipment etc. all which put it above the VW. VW has this over Skoda and Seats were never meant to be nice cars, just fun. Recently though they have adopted a very aggressive styling and look fantastic.

On a side note has anyone seen the new Fiesta Zetec-s? Phw000000r!

Prefer the old Fiesta myself... not biased at all, because the girlfriend has a lush one (car that is) but it looks rubbish above...

Maybe its the colour or the angle of the shot, I don't know.

even as something of a ford zealot, i have to admit i don't like the new fiesta at all.. saying that, i haven't seen one for reals, so maybe they look better in real life :/

i like the new advert though, with the TVs "driving" through town and the ultra-compressed music..

My boss has an A6 he leases, and its now at the end of its term. He had it from new, has paid about £9k in total so far, and if he wants it off them now it'll cost £12,050. That works out way cheaper than buying it new doesn't it? Makes you wonder why people do.

Transit dirfting is funny. Never done it myself, but various videos available on youtube... god bless ford and their RWD madness! Tempted to get a Sierra GLx for the same reason. Can get them for 50p now lol

Transit drift here.

I had a Sierra 2.0 GLSi. 0-60 in about 8, top speed 125. For a 19 year old rep-mobile that wasn't bad, especially as I was given it.
Utterly fantastic infact, until the door hinge rotted off and the sills turned wonky.
The engine was perfect, and should have been saved to go into a P100, but I had nowhere to store it.
