Anyone ever played disc golf?

Managed to do a bit myself whilst over in the U-S of A a couple of weeks back.

Very cheap thing to set up, would be ace if we had a course in Stafford. Not sure Victoria Park would be ideal though, could take a few flower heads off.....

how the hell do you hit a frisbee with a golf club?? lol.. i mean, you could hit it, but it wouldn't do anything (apart from maybe break).. you couldn't actually launch it, or achieve any directionality!

No you throw it....the golf bit is that you have to start at one point and aim the frisbee towards a pole, which would be the green and hole in golf.

i gave in a googled it - i get it now lol.. you basically go round a golf course, chucking a frisbee into the hole.. except the holes have been replaced by rotary washing lines lol..

looks like a right jape! i'd be bang up for this on a sunny day :D:up:

Played it in New Zealand and it is great fun. Not sure it beats a good old British Pitch & Putt course though.

I see one of these on my way to work sometimes. Looks fun, here is the site Quarry Park Disc Golf and here are directions from stafford. About an hours drive so not that far.
