Do you want a Website? Very Cheap Web Designer Here!!

I taught myself web design an coding but came from a coding background and find if i don't keep doing something often then the next time i need to quickly brush up, But i will do the designs too but have to say if you take on the whole task yourself it becomes a long winded task and stressful, The only reason I chose to just do it alone is because I will sit down and put on my own music taste on, have the tv on some thing educational so i feel as though i may well be learning something new at every glance and then hit the coding head on so to speak. I personally took to jquery after hating java but love what php can do in a small amount of time

Welcome to the forum matfennell

You take constructive criticism well, you'll fit in.

Like most on here I think it is very rare to meet someone in the industry who does front-end design and back-end coding. Most (all) web agencies have a graphic designer guy who makes the design concepts in photyshop and then the web-dev slices that up into html/css & drives it with script. I have meet some crayons (design guys) who can slice their concepts into mark-up but I am yet to meet anyone who is shit-hot at design, mark-up and scripting.

If there is one positive I can say about your sites it's that you haven't done what most people do (read me) and got an out of the box CMS, a pre-made theme, stuck them together and called it a day. Your mark-up is nice and clean - I'd go down the coding route.

thanks very much thats real nice, i do think the amy-kate photography is the best site i have done combination of design and code.

But your reply was real nice and it is interesting to see that noone can really do both to professional, WOW-factor level.

I like doing both so will probably concentrate on coding and try develop design on the side.

But anyway thanks alot

Trust him, he works in the big boy version of my work ;)

He's right though, I don't do crayonz and my crayon guy (now a girl) doesn't do code. After a while you start to pre-empt each other, you'll start to cross over a bit, but a real designer will always be better than a coder doing bits on the side.

some comments i believe were a bit harsh I accept and am very grateful for all your feedback!
Sorry if that is related to my comment (or me agreeing with the comment) about your email address; I just find it a little odd when you're a web designer, have the domain name yet use an AOL email.

I wish you the best of luck, sincerely!

I have to agree - Rex and Shoes are 1000% right on that.

You own mfwebdesigns.com - sort out me@mfwebdesigns.com/hello@mfwebdesigns.com/websitetotheface@mfwebdesigns.com/anything - it just looks bad having AOL.
