7 if you include Coventry.Stoke on Trent , 6 or 5 towns?
Apparently Arnold Bennet missed out Fenton? 1910 6 towns, after 5?
I'm sure someone will correct me again & call me a dick given half a chance.

Fab, I knew it should could be included somewhere!7 if you include Coventry.
Definitely 6 towns but they hadn't been formed into Stoke on Trent until 1919 and Arnold Bennett's Five Towns was published before that.Stoke on Trent , 6 or 5 towns?

Yes, and Bernard William Jewry wasn't Shane Fenton for many years.Stoke on Trent , 6 or 5 towns?

Yes I think you are correct.Tunstall, Burslem, Hanley, Stoke and Longton were The Five, weren't they?
I'll confess that I did check - I thought one of them was Coventry.Yes I think you are correct.
I was told Fenton was one of the five by a Stokie friend but upon checking I think,as you say, it should have been Longton. Can't wait to tell her she's wrong now
George Elliott wrote about Coventry, but it was renamed Middlemarch. Fenton is supposedly the town that Arnold Bennett forgot about when writing his book, The Five Towns.I'll confess that I did check - I thought one of them was Coventry.
*Bennetts own explanation was that, phonetically, ‘Five Towns’ falls more pleasantly on the ear than ‘Six Towns’. Try it.George Elliott wrote about Coventry, but it was renamed Middlemarch. Fenton is supposedly the town that Arnold Bennett forgot about when writing his book, The Five Towns.

What this symbol could be at the top right of my android phone......
It looks like a C2 with the 2 being half height, and a small WiFi symbol above the 2.
It appears next to my WiFi signal symbol, and every time it appears it dissapears really quickly and I loose my WiFi connection & have to reconnect. It's only started appearing recently, if I can get a screenshot I'll post it here.
Phone is a Samsung galaxy a22
It's the phone, 2 & mini WiFi symbol, next to the normal WiFi symbol
Wi-Fi call preferred on and the SIM for that ability is in sim place 2 (A22 is dual SIM). Basically, no signal from mast so call is made using Wi-Fi.What this symbol could be at the top right of my android phone......
