I thought Staffordians called these things scallops, at least thats how thay are advertised at Highfields chippy

Trevor the former owner at the Hand and Cleaver made a marvelous tempera batter - he used Shropshire Gold, a non fizzy real ale

Although it may not sound it, battered cauliflower with a sweet curry sauce was a plate of heaven- rather a surprise for someone who dunna like cauliflower much

Sadly missed
