Hi
I have just booked my two dogs in with this lady again and it occurred to me that it might be a helpful link for others: http://www.dogtrainingstafford.co.uk/home_boarding.htm
Angie lives in Penkridge and takes a couple of dogs at a time, in her own home. The dogs go for brilliant walks on the Chase every day, mix with her own dogs and go along to the training classes she runs. I have left mine with Angie several times and have been able to go away without worrying about them. They are staying in a house not a kennel, which is what they are used to and can spend evenings on the sofa watching television. They don't show any signs of missing me at all and she even managed to stop the worst offender pulling on the lead. Angie also walks dogs for people in Stafford, Penkridge, Cannock and Wheaton Aston areas.

That's just what we need, we took jack to Blackpool last weekend and he wasn't happy,
he much prefers Shell island lol, so next year if we go to none camping venues, that will be ideal.
Thanks for the tip.

Glad it is useful. Leaving the dogs has proved a considerable source of marital disharmony in this household. I have regularly stayed at home while my husband has gone away with his children. I found a place near Manchester Airport which was supposed to be brilliant. I rang up from our holiday to put my mind at rest and they had no recollection of even having my dog. Worse, I could hear her howling in the background. Angie's great. Happy dogs, happy me, happy holiday!

Why not find a place to leave Hubby and take the dogs with you?

It has occurred to me but I can't find anywhere that will take him. I should have persevered with the house training.
The dogs and I have gone off on walking holidays. We did Hadrian's Wall last time there was some kind of football tournament on the television.

Perfect - where on earth did you find that image?
I'm going to Coventry on Monday - must find my big red hat for the trip.

We normally use Holme from Home. They do a good job and the dogs that are friendly get to run around in the field with the other dogs. Our young dog loves that.

Recently tried the new one in Stafford on Beaconside when the usual one was fully booked up. Its like doggy prison in comparison. They said there was no way any dogs could socialise as it was to much trouble. Last resort for us.

My wife has contemplated sending the dog to the training woman you before. We might consider it as although he is obedient he could be a bit better.

How cool. I use a kennels in penkridge it cost as much for a week for the dog as it does my weeks hol! (they do have a doggie jaccuzi tho :)
But i always worry, because my dog likes homely company, i shall certainly bookmark this one. The dog walking sounds cool too.
