HELP:(
I have the above printer. The new cartridges I bought off Amazon are SETUP ones and not what I ordered or in fact what they advertise on the net! The printer will not accept them after initialisation has taken place and I am hopping mad!. Does anyone know a way of sorting this so I haven't wasted my money? Have been in touch with the seller and hope they will do the decent thing, although 106 mostly poor reviews don't leave me feeling very hopeful! Would welcome any tips or fixes anyone has to offer. Ta very muchly.:)

Ah I see! A bit slow this evening! I looked at the reviews only when I realised there was a problem! Helpful comments would be appreciated.

in what way doesn't the printer accept them? are they recognized?
try this fix for Epson

Disconnect the USB cable from the back of the printer, but leave the printer turned on
Open the cover of the printer and remove the print cartridges
Close the cover and wait for the Insert Ink Cartridges message to display
Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer and wait for one minute
Reconnect the power cord. If the printer does not automatically turn on, press the Power button
Open the cover and reinsert the print cartridges
Close the cover. If prompted, print a calibration page.
Reconnect the USB cable, and try to print a print job from the computer

Hi there. Thanks for your detailed reply. I have setup cartridges that were sold as ordinary cartridges and the printer says 'No'. It tells me to reinsert the correct ones as printer has already been initialised ...was hoping there would be a way of using them n not wasting them by having some sort of fix.Cant return them now as past the 31 days even though they were wrongly advertised! Have resorted to a memory stick n mates computer now till I can afford a decent printer. No more cheap n cheerful for me! Also have tried what you suggested but no go! Thanks though:)

ok, well the above may come useful if ever you get compatible carts for an Epson.
usually if there's a 'cartridges are not recognized, please insert correct cartridges'

so many people throw them away thinking they're not accepted bar a simple fix.
biggest decider for me on any printer is if cheap inks are available. canon my choice atm
good luck in your search
