Am I the only person who didn't know that this is National No Indicating day?
It's actually National Incorrect Indicating Day. "Not Indicating" is just one of the ways you can celebrate, amongst "Indicating the Wrong Way", "Leaving your Indicator On" and "Indicating Too Late". All of which I've observed today.

3 days on the trot I've witnessed muppets coming from Gaol Square into Chell Road and using the filter to basically drive in as rude a manner as possible! Use it just to over take and then cut in without indicating at the last second. Yes there should be give and take but people shouldnt drive right to the end and barge in.

The odd one will be an outsider lulled into believing that it's a two lane dual carriageway that they're entering, only to find out that it's not, when it's too late. But, most are as you describe..

Witnessed on the M6 yesterday, a silly cow in a silver audi driving at 60mph in the middle lane while talking on her mobile phone.
Witnessed on the M6 today, a silly cow in a black audi driving at 60mph in the slow lane, while talking on her mobile phone.

Being the proud owner of two BMWs, nothing changed for me yesterday :D

as cj1 says, there are 2 lanes there, and that's exactly how they are supposed to be used.. yes, i know it gets abused by "bmw drivers", but it's still a perfectly legal manoeuvre - andreas & i did it on friday, in fact! i always make sure to indicate and wait for someone to let me in, though, so i know what you mean about people using it to just barge in, which isn't really cricket..

Was it another "Not letting anyone out at a junction day" too?

i sort of have sympathy for bmw drivers here.. actually, perhaps "sympathy" is too strong a word lol.. but i can understand why they do this (or don't do it, as the case may be):

i always let people out whenever i can (sometimes to the consternation of others), apart from BMWs/4x4s - if i see one of them, i go out of my way to not let them out lol.. stupid and puerile i know, but i dare say many motorists adopt this approach, if they're honest with themselves.. so that being the case, it must be frustrating as a bmw driver to know this, and to have to deal with never being let out at junctions or given any sympathy on the road.. this would cause anyone to be a little more aggressive in their driving style (i.e. taking advantage of filter lanes)!

I know of a situation where 'someone' spotted the Express & Star van that used to use the A34 lane to bypass the lights at the KwikFit roundabout when approaching from ASDA, even though he intended to go up the A449 - well, he didn't on that occasion, as he was very skillfully held into the A34 lane and had to go off up the Lichfield Road...

I don't mind letting any breed of car out but if they try and force their way out by pulling out half across the road and stopping oncoming traffic then hell will freeze over before i give way.

I am with db, been wronged far too many times by BMW drivers, they get no let out from me, nothing, the cursed swines.
Dunna worry, I'll use my superior power and handling to overtake you dangerously at an inappropriate time, preferably on a blind summit :monkeydance:

I'm often confronted with a queue of traffic on the Newport road that blocks the lane where my house is. So often I'm sitting in Newport Road waiting for somebody to move up so I can turn in to the lane.

Getting out is tricky in the morning, some people let me out others just roll by but when the stop in the traffic blocking my entrance and exit I do get a tad annoyed. I also get really peed off when people park across the entrance.

A chap has just done exactly that trying to turn right out of Cull Avenue onto Weston Road. No prizes for guessing the make of his vehicle...
