Examples of poor driving you have witnessed!

Not Stafford, but as well as seeing plenty of accidental near misses on the motorway ..... M6 Jct10 the other day ...an idiot trying his best to cause an accident on purpose. Got on at Jct10, straight across into the 4th lane, causing all 4 lanes to slam their brakes on to avoid him, then had both hands in the air applauding himself as his vehicle was swerving along the carriageway.

Followed a BMW along Corporation St after work this evening. Reg no, J4Y FX. Not once did he/she it use their signals, I had to guess that they were turning down Crooked Bridge rd and then once at the bottom, they went right towards The Four Crosses. Had they given cause for me to stop, I may have given a piece of my mind, but state of it, there int much give.

We've all had moments like that when leaving Walsall.

Don't be silly, you should know by now that the only signal that BMWs are fitted with is the headlamp flasher.

Yesterday, whilst doing 55 in a 60 limit, I saw a white Vauxhall approaching from behind, with a good +20mph on me. He seemed to decide that, because he could not see anybody approaching, he would pass me as we neared the brow of the hill. Luckily, there really was nobody approaching on the hidden section of road and he zoomed off on his 'vital' mission.

Two miles further on, I came to the T-junction at the end of the road and turned left, waving a cheery 'goodbye' to him, as he waited to turn right, exactly as he would have done, if he hadn't taken the stupid risk a couple of minutes before.

I drove through Weston downs this morning and got stopped at the lights going on the Newport road. ( I was first in line ) Some idiot started beeping at me and sticking his fingers up then proceeded to attempt to drive around me but instead just blocked traffic turning from Newport Rd into western downs. He then had to reverse bk into his previous place in line behind me .
I can only guess that maybe he thought the lights were green and I was just sitting there for fun lol

If all was right with the world, people like this would just wipe themselves out and leave the rest of us alone. Sadly, you just know that when it does all go wrong for him/her it'll involve some innocent third party who will probably end up coming off worse.

Maybe they were afraid you were stalking them?

It was distinctly possible that a mirror-image event was approaching us from the other side of the hill.

I had noted the upcoming off-road obstructions, in case I needed to take an excursion.

Compiler clearly never driven in India
When i was about ten years old, my dad switched carriageways and drove full pelt at an oncoming driver who hadn't dimmed his headlights for oncoming vehicles.

It was a crash course in driving etiquette for our oblivious oncomer, who was quite literally on course to crash his final exam. He caught the drift of the situation, dimmed the lights, and my dad pulled back to our side of the road.

Sri Lanka not India, but not the kind of lesson you quickly forget.

Don't tell my mum.

Moron in big silver estate who carved me up to the point that I had to take evasive action and then proceeded to give me daggers at the next set of lights. Dickhead, the left hand lane on the Newport Road bridge going towards town is for Left turn ONLY to go towards the station! Not for going straight on and nearly taking my wing off :(

Although the painted arrows on the road don't help. As the road splits into two lanes as you go up the railway bridge, both lanes have straight-ahead arrows. It's only when you get over the brow does the next arrow in the left-hand lane change to a turn-arrow, and its probably a bit late to get into the outside lane by then, if you're not a local.

If that is the case then an awareness of those also on the road with you is a helpful driving skill when unfamiliar with local lane discipline!
