Examples of poor driving you have witnessed!

Nice move by the chap in the Land Rover this morning, who flashed me as I waited to exit my drive. Luckily, I didn't trust you and stayed put, only to find that what you really meant was to warn me of the speed camera down the road. If you're going to flash other motorists, an act for which some drivers have been prosecuted, then I would recommend that you wait until you're out of sight of the van, or the retro-reflection from the number plate of the vehicle in front of you makes your actions rather obvious to the occupants.

And I can only hope that some significant retribution will occur to the Alfa driver who soaked that poor woman in Rowley Street, on the way to her friend's funeral.

Further to my posts yesterday, I have just had a lovely big wave of thanks from an oncoming driver. The only problem was that, with one hand holding a phone clamped to his ear and the other hand waving, this did leave a large petrol tanker rushing towards me without obvious means of control.

"Tanker". Or something like that.

There's just no pleasing some people ;)

A Visign van pulled out from the Island pub tonight and suddenly changed lanes, coming straight for the side of me. Luckily he heard my horn and swerved back into the other lane . Glad I had my head screwed on !

Thanks to the man who followed me out of town on the Newport Road at around 11.30 last night. No I won't go over 30 before I get out of the speed limit, and I'm not sure why it was such a problem for me to drive at 60 all the way to Haughton. I'm sure you're beeping as I turnned into the Church Eaton road woke many of the residents.

Areshole in red Audi A3, BP57FUE who went through the pedestrian crossing just after Queesnvile roundabout heading towards the railway bridge when it was on red, nearly wiping out a lady who was crossing at the time. Fortunately she was quick-witted, though somewhat shaken up by the experience.

She will be reporting you to plod, and I will be more than prepared to act as a witness in court.

Son had a practice driving our car yesterday after just passing his test. He was sticking smack on the speed limits from Wolseley Bridge to Weston , but we had a car right up our arse trying to get him to go faster all the way. Then the same again down Weston road all the way to Riverway lights.

A lovely person in a newish white Ford Galaxy yesterday P5 SHN driving right up my backside down Weston Road and then proceeding to chop and change lanes every few minutes from Asda to the Kwik Fit roundabout regularly pushing in and cutting people up to save himself 10 car lengths..... you drive a Ford Galaxy for goodness sake, you aren't a race car driver so don't act like one!!!

I'd like to nominate myself to this 'forum' of shame. At approximately 8am on Tuesday morning I was driving along Reva Road, Stafford and I hit a pot hole and accidently splashed a young boy. The boy looked absolutely distraught and I feel extremely guilty about it, so much so I've brought him a card and put some money inside it. However I have a problem, I don't know who the boy is and where he lives (apart from the fact that he lives somewhere down Reva Road).

The boy was aged about 9 or 10, wears glasses and was in his school uniform. He was wearing a black blazer with a gold badge crest (I think). If anybody knows who the boy is I would be grateful if you could send me a PM so I may apologise to him in person. Thanks.

It sounds like Rising br...I mean Stafford Sports College uniform to me. I wouldn't suggest standing outside the school with an envelope of money and approaching all young boys going in there. If you feel that badly, it might be better to give it to the one of the teachers at the school and see if they can find out on your behalf?

Youngish woman (younger than your average range rover driver), blonde with an inch thick layer of make up? Her driving is appalling, I don't think she realises the size of the vehicle, or perhaps has the attitude of 'meh...curb...offroader will take it' when using roundabouts.

I've met her...
My apologies to the woman in the black Range Rover just now on Marston Road. If only I'd known that you were unable to turn the steering wheel whilst driving at me on the wrong side of the road, then I would instantly have mown down the pedestrians to get out of your, obviously highly important, way.

..perhaps we need to do something when the opportunity next arises..?

Lady driving a cream coloured new mini on the way back from Lichfield to Rugeley about 9:30 this morning doing 40mph through the varying speed limits including 30/50 and 60mph....not usually something i would comment about but whenever a car overtook her (safely i might add, including myself) she was not a happy bunny! Hand gestures, flashing headlights and honking her horn........absolutley bizzare!

Spouting nonsense since the day I learned to talk
Cyclist number 1 on Radford Bank this morning when I was going into town. He was also going down the bank but completely on the wrong side of the road heading straight towards the oncoming traffic - he only swerved right at the last moment and then threw filthy looks at the car drivers.

Cyclist number 2 heading into town by Freedom Caravans, again riding on the wrong side of the road, this time without lights. I was heading towards Radford Bank and I had to swerve to miss him otherwise I would have hit him.

These two obviously don't value their lives.
