Is it just my perception or do the politicians in Stoke tend to muck things up regularly.

An easy answer would be to say yes - but if you watch the programme you will realise central Government gave them a hobsons choice given the cuts imposed on them were so severe ( and far less than on Tory run councils )

However much the assembled councillors do not fill you with confidence - considerably - the bottom line is always - a populus gets the government it deserves . If you do not like the way your local council works then stand for election and make a difference . If you do not like the way your central Government works - erm... Now at this point I wanted to say take direct action as that has proved to be the only effective method of change, but given said Government and its predecessors have ensured that free speech is getting expensive I will simply say make your own mind up on this one

A Fawkes solution perhaps? His reasons were at a tangent to mine but I admire his ambition. If any of our current shower of shit could prove they really were there to make a difference to us (in a good way) then I would doff my hat, but I suspect I need no hat.

EDIT: That is unfair, some are good. Its unfortunate they get quickly tainted by those they associate with.
