i've always wondered what the hell is going on in rich_upsetter's avatar.. rather than derail some other thread just to ask him, i figured i might as well find out the origin of everyone's in one fell swoop..

mine is pretty boring - it's basically the only animated .gif i have that is work friendly, so i uploaded it as a temporary effort and have never got round to changing it lol.. anyone who recognises me from other forums will know i'm normally not quite so well behaved ;)

i have a feeling a lot of people are going to say "it's just the first picture that came up in a :google: image search :v: " - in which case, what word were you searching for??



2009 edit: this thread has been brought back from the dead, and everyone's avatar (mine included) has changed a lot in the last 3 years so please note that a lot of the comments won't actually relate to peoples' current avatars!

theres no story behind my avatar, i wish there was ....its just 'fabulous darlings!' pretty gay as well actually, i may have to change it. i initially just thought it was funny. dont want people to get the wrong idea eh.

i await some abuse from people who know me who will try and convince everyone i am gay.

i went on a skiing holiday a couple of years ago. being the sensible type and not wishing to tarnish the 'tache, i painted my facial hair white. simple as that.

yoda has a clearly defined and well know public image. i can't piggy back anymore, i need to spread my wings and fly. I have found an amusing CAPTION COMPETITION image tho. just need the name of the image hosting site to post it. Im already bored of my current avtar. Might have a poo to cheer myself up...

you don't need an external host for an avatar :?: as long as it is 120x120 or smaller, just upload it through your Profile..

yeah, but how did you happen upon the picture? was it just lying around your hard drive, or did you get it from a google image search? if it was the latter, what one earth did you use as the search term?

and what exactly is going on in it?? lol..
