I love watching films, usually I go for world cinema, independant or films based on real life events and am always looking for recommendations so if you have any please throw them in here!

I'll start with two that have made an impression this Christmas!

Parasite (on Prime) Wow! Just wow, deserves all the accolades it received. Amazing!

Hidden Figures (on dvd) Loved this, based on real events and a story I'd never heard of before. Such a good film the 2 hours passed super fast!

    So what are yours?

We've watched some really good, and really shit! ones this year, mostly on Prime.

I would recommend; Pride, Late Night, Dark Waters and The Founder.

Thanks, will look out for those.

Another one I loved if social realism is your thing is 'Rocks' on Netflix

I recently watched Searching for Sugar Man.

If it wasn't a true story, it would surely never have been made, as it's just way too far-fetched to be plausible as fiction...

    Highly recommended from here.
