Did the decanter get emptied whilst you were decorating?

That's stopping the welcome lights going scooting off the windowsill . Hubbys whisky doesn't make it that far to the decanter . Came close to starting on the xmas booze ,getting so stressed trying to put them up with hubby in the way this time

Well it would be a bit dangerous having a flammable liquid near the naked flames of those candles wouldn’t it?

7 trees this year, if you count the one on the doorstep and one each in the kids rooms, this is the front room, it’s really cosy when the fire properly gets going.

This is the dining room, three trees in here, hoping the little potted ones will survive to be planted out again. Then the big one that has all the special decorations on, the ones we’ve collected like the Guinness one from Dublin and the RNLI one from Whitby, the toilet roll angel on the top and whole host of cotton wool, glitter glue and piper cleaner ornaments the kids have created for us.

I think most parents have the toilet roll angel made from their little ones hand outlines painted during their primary school days. That's still the annual angel on our tree as well!

I found some tinsel and made a start.

Then I asked the Robin to pose and was told "Christmas is a pain in the arse!".

So, I gave up.

Last year's little outdoor tree isn't looking so hot in the daylight, but it's ok in the dark with the lights on. Honest.

My sister thought I had bought a special 'copper coloured' tree

Finally got round to taking a picture. With Tillington Manor School toilet roll angel on the top!

It's a real tree in a pot with roots and soil and stuff which I'm hoping to reuse year after year if I can keep it alive!

Looks lovely. I put mine next to the garage wall last year. One side of it is now brown so watch out!

Finally got round to taking a picture. With Tillington Manor School toilet roll angel on the top!

I see Tillington Manor Toilet Roll Angel, and raise it to Tillington Manor Pompom snowman, circa 1998.

(we still have toilet roll angel, however it's bits fell off, & now it just looks like a white toilet roll, it's still in the Christmas box, photo after Xmas when I put the rest away).

Mine might go up tomorrow, bought a new tree in ikea at the weekend which looks more realistic than the tinsel one I've used for x years (no idea, certainly as long as tek-chimp can remember so over a decade easily!)

Well, I did give some consideration to making even more effort on my tree, but I have decided that it would probably be a futile and short-lived gesture.

Just now, after having been hassled into topping up their food on the Dining Table, I witnessed that one of my customers, impatient about the wait, felt it reasonable to openly and brazenly remove my carefully placed decoration work and take it into the depths of the tree behind, presumably for his own festive purposes.

Got the tree up this weekend. An almost military operation excuse the wall that isn't wallpapered...
