I usually have acrylic....is gel better?

I have looked on the website and I am a bit confused.

Are gel nails a type of polish and not an extention?

Acrylic is an actual extension of your own nail with polish over the top, however Gel is a high shine non chip polish that can last up to two weeks on your own nail. It helps you to grow them too as you cant bite the polish as its too hard. It really depends on what nails you already have

Ok. I think I need acrylics as my nails are really short.

I need them long for a posh do on Sat.
