Anybody know any cheap booths anywhere? Or do they all charge around the £4-£5 mark?

yes..

but even if there was one somewhere which was a bit cheaper, would it really be worth all the extra effort of finding it just to save 50p or so? :raise:

just go to the one at asda.. it's one of those digital efforts, so you can make sure you don't look like too much of a bell-end before you commit to the final photo! although it didn't seem to help me on mine lol..

Are you allowed to take your own and print them up yourself?

I can't see why not as long as they meet the requirements (correct size, white background etc)

Yeah, you'd have to meet all the requirements, its been accepted in Spain and Bulgaria so far!
You have to remember to add the white frame onto it too.

It's Peter Rogers actually - just in case anybody is trying to find it in the phone book.

It's actually run by Anthony Rogers, but they kept the original name going after Peter died - must be 20 years ago now.

As a (sort of) photographer can I just pimp them up a little, I have been in there several times and received nothing but friendly helpful service from members of staff who know more about the product than the customer does. Unfortunately with chain stores (Jessops for example) the personal touch has been lost along with the care for the customer, but with Peter Rogers this simply isn't the case.

They do charge a little bit more but it can be worth it. I generally buy the core components (lenses, cameras etc.) from t'internet but for smaller items and specialist pars such as gels, filters, hoods and diffusers their range is fantastic, as is their knowledge.

Who remembers Tom Reekie's? He sold cameras, hi-fi and records. The shop was where that games arcade thing is now, across the bridge from the Curry Kuteer.

I do, my dad bought his cameras from there.
