Has anyone else noticed that 'The Abbey' disappeared from Greengate Street on sunday afternoon.....

Was that next to the church? Was in town on Sat and thought the building looked out of place, was sure I'd never seen it before!

As it's part of The Santander group I would imagine it's closed down in favour of the Alliance and Leicester branch who very kindly adminster my mortgage for me.

A&L closed saturday until further notice. Spoke to A&L person who seemed a bit lost but guessed that it may be permanent. Awaiting a reply email from Santander. I will post the response.

No response from Santander. Anyway A + L has reopened - trouble with fire alarms apparently.
