Good Curry

Ok my problem is this- 6 years in a country which whilst fine with taking over neighbouring principalities is exceedingly cautious with flavouring. I need a good curry, any recommendations? The only place i can remember is the one nextdoor but one to the wetherspoons?

Curry, now you're talking!

The one you mention is Curry Kuteer, and is still there. Not been in quite a while though, but I remember it as being pretty good. The place to go now is Malabar, in what used to be the Malthouse Vaults (underground bar, near town park). Was also called something else for a while. Anyway, best curry restaurant in town. There is another opening soon up the north end though, in what was Crispins. No idea what that will be like.

For a take-away, you can't beat Spice Delight. Great food, with free delivery. If its flavour you want, I can reccommend the Chicken Chilli Garlic Jaypur. My favourite by far!

Not sure on a Sunday roast, can try the Castle Tavern though. The chef in there is really good, and I'm not just saying that cos she's a mate of mine!

Thankyou for the kind comment about my choice of words and the linky good thread that!-
I am at the moment the Garrison Information Officer for Bielefeld and write a monthly magazine for all the likkle soldier types and their wiveys so I try to be wordy!

I think i know the place u refer to Tek-monkey, is it near to the doctors? ( if indeed the doctors is stil there)

Ps i noticed last time i was back ( october for aged grandmotherinlaw's birthday) that some cad and bounder appears to have stolen the wimpy. Have the police been called?

There is indeed a doctors on the corner, its between the nags head and the coach and horses, if navigating by pubs helps!

As for the Wimpy, its now a bar called Casa. Its, erm, a pretentious bar! Its probably alright if its your sort of thing, not mine though. Give me a dirty rock bar any day. Its run by the old DJ from the Colosseum, Jack Frost, if you remember him!

i really only remember the toilets at Colluseum. Think i mite have been allergic to the drink ^^

Went to the ashianna the other night!! Not very good at all. We were in and out within 40 minutes, lukewarm food and my balti was bordering on being chicken in a GRAVY!! Bland very Bland. Shame really cos it was nice food when it was ' Rose of Kashmir'. So much for expansion!!
