Green Hall - going, going ...GONE!

Planning application reference 13/18463/CAC seeks the partial demolition of the Green Hall. The bits being demolished are the awful new additions to the rear of the building. The original building (the bit that is listed) is to remain intact and brought back into use.

I just hope my 'accidentally' knocked down on purpose comment, is me being overly pessimistic and I'm 100% utterly and truly wrong and the frontage is to be kept!
Calm down dear...

Let's hope it's not another BRC scenario...

No permission to demolish, gets demolished at the weekend and then pay a paltry £10,000 fine and make millions from resulting housing development

It's stafford council. Of course that's what'll happen.
I think all we would need to do would be to prove that the building had some sort of connection to football and it would be safe. 'Secret documents' would ensure it could not be demolished.

I'm pretty sure it works in the developers best interests to have some of the flats or facilities in a listed building, since the blurb mentions 'homeowners lounge' etc I'm guessing that and office related stuff would go in Green Hall, and the purpose built retirement flats in the sizable land around it.

I can't see Green Hall from where I'm sat, anyone know if it's still standing?

The tacked-on buildings at back have been demolished but, from what I could see, nothing of the older part of the structure has been touched.

Wasn't Green Hall one of the Bostock houses, and therefore of great heritage value, whether or not it's listed?
