Greyhound?

I am looking to find a new home for my gorgeous Greyhound. I am moving out of town soon and sadly will not be able to take him with me. He is a beautiful fawn retired racer, 7 years old and absolutely no trouble at all to look after. I have had him for two and a half years now, and he is a typical Greyhound ie sleeps most of the time, requires little walking and is just the friendliest of dogs.

This is a really difficult thing to do, so I need to know that he will be happy and well cared for.

wanna see my snake?
Sorry to hear that :(

Much as I'd love a dog, and particularily love greyhounds and whippets, I'm just not home enough. I work full time and spend a lot of time at my GFs, otherwise I'd be very tempted.

Thanks for your kind comments. He is untried with cats in a domestic setting, but has a very healthy interest in them when walking! As an ex racer, he spent the first five years of his life apart from other breeds and was denied the usual experiences that other dogs enjoy such as playing and socialising. This is not a problem, but makes them wary of other dogs and can make them appear a little unsociable! Having said that, they are not aggressive and can easily settle with other dogs.
He is used to spending long periods alone, ie the working day, but loves company. Please check out the RGT ( Retired Greyhound Trust ) site for information on the breed.
