Gutted - hit and run on my car

Gutted, some cnut has just done a hit and run on my car and mangled the rear quarter...

No note or anything just a load of white paint so i'm guessing delivery driver who doesn't give a fcuk.

What peeves me off is that there is no carrot to be honest in these situations and no stick to force you into honesty either. If you get caught by some means then the police will do sweet FA and if you just go through your insurance so no worse than if you had been honest and owned up.

If you drive off and don't get caught then you've saved yourself loads of inconvenience and money.

Got the CCTV guy checking as we speak to see who / what it was but he reckons they can't make out number plates on the cctv so best hope is a company logo if a van / lorry, or if its a car then one that belongs to a regular user of the carpark. If its the latter then they will probs be getting the bus / using their partners car for the next few weeks to avoid repercussions.....

Gutted this happened to me a couple of years back where someone took the side out of my car overnight and scraped the side right down to the metal and dented it...

Commiserations. Perhaps you ought to tell the cops - sometimes they can be very active over things that you might think they wouldn't be much interested in.

Indeed, a criminal offence has been committed so they will get an arrest out of it if they manage to catch him/her - all they care about is statistics.

There are, no doubt, some who think like that, but I do have to say that the few that I've dealt with in recent years have been quite effective - much more so than I was expecting. You have little to lose by reporting it - just a bit of time, if nothing does come of it.
