Oh, no. This ain't for the kids, it's terrifying. I ran screaming through the woods and castle, leaving Tensh shielding Finbar, pretty confident that experience has scarred him for life.

It is great fun though, but not for the easily spooked.

I'll be there on the microphone and the wheels of steel, well, a cd player, in what is usually the visitors' car park. I'd best play Stafford Song a few times and see if anyone sings along. Do please come and say hello, especially if it is wet and miserable.

The fireworks are at 9.30pm this year and the Black Maunch are providing some spooky spectacle.

Don't forget that tickets must be purchased in advance, so get on down to the Ancient High House to stock up!
