That is fab Mr G .I've never seen this before.its my dream one that if I ever win the BIG lottery.I would do this up and make it the hub of the north end..every time I pass it I get sad .maybe we local should get a petition together and save it .they must be a millionaire in Stafford who could help..oh I'm dreaming....

After the snooker craze died down there was an attempt by the owners to use as a restaurant/night club but there were problems with planning, as I understand, so it has now been left in limbo :(

That video was from Andrew Baker, who was the Music Librarian back in the good old days at Friar's Terrace - recently demolished. Few people seem to have seen it. It seemed a nicer present than baking the usual cake.

I believe that @Goldilox was involved in some filming in there once....

I've been in there when it was a cinema, it only showed H rated films in the last days
and we lads used to mob the doorman down the left hand side entrance, so he couldn't
ask our ages, for some reason we called the doorman Crippin!
We crowded in to the cheap seats at the front, and they were ripped with stuffing hanging out
so we sat on the springs.
