Wanted Hay/Straw by the bale

Does anyone know where I can buy hay and straw by the bale please, a farm maybe?

I used to get mine from Richard Brough out at Whitgreave, but on my visit today to purchase some I found his farm all shut up with official looking notices about bankruptcy and farm repossession everywhere. Sad for him as he worked very hard to try and make ends meet for his young family

There is a sign up on the approach to Great Bridgeford advertising haylage, straw and hay, with instructions to turn right and it's about two miles, so he could be back in business.

Or somebody else is filling the niche.

Is this a new sign? I know some of the signs from my previous supplier are still around the area. I really hope he is back in business though. Cheers for the heads up

It didn't look 'old' - I go along there fairly regularly and hadn't noticed it being there before....

Who knows - only an on-site inspection will tell.....

Indeed. When I get my new car I shall do just that!

In the meantime if anyone knows if the hay man is back or this is just an old sign getting my hopes up please confirm!!

Well, I followed the instructions on the sign, but failed to find a source of hay at the end of the rainbow.

I think that I've seen a similar sign on the A34 northbound, just before the turn for Whitgreave.

The signs also mention coal and other commodities.

Yes, the man I used to deal with was in Whitgreave and I followed the signs from the A34.
