I'd be quicker printing pages and pages, jumping in the car and driving down to Worcester with them and back. Spent 3 hours now trying to get important documents to the solicitors :(

Suddenly can't open email attachments that I have attached to try to send from my laptop
, both on Hotmail and TalkTalk mail. Son couldn't open up the ones that I sent to him earlier either . I've tried sending them from my Hotmail to TalkTalk and vice versa to see if it opens up and doesn't.

Tried both in Chrome and Firefox

    Keeps coming up ' about:blank#blocked '

Tried 'enabling pop-ups' in the chrome settings (now can't find it again to un-enable if I want to ...)

Tried going into the documents that I previously downloaded , settings - properties - and ticking unblock button on some and still won't open when I attach them to an email.

Have had to print off the documents again , scan them and forward the email with newly scanned documents attached to husbands work and he could actually open them up. (I still couldn't open up on my laptop). He then printed them off, scanned them and sent the back to me and son for him to forward on. At least now coming from that route they are opening up for me on hotmail. ?????

Tried again to see if just a blip, but still not opening anything in Talk Talk ........

Any body got any carrier pigeons? Doing my head in. Been working ok before today :help:

Have you tried saving the attachments to your laptop and then opening them?

I sometimes can't open attachments on my work laptop from Outlook but they will open if I save them first.

Having been away on a metered connection, I've noticed a good bit of Windows updating going on since I got back here to an unmetered one. Not all these updates work properly every time, I find - if you know that it was working a few days ago, then you might try a system restore to an earlier date?

The attachment that I forwarded on to son to send to the mortgage broker yesterday wouldn't open for the broker apparently. Had to get hubby to send his scanned copy again to me and forward his email directly to the broker this morning. Worked then :hmm: I give up!

How are you attaching them? Can you open them after you've scanned them in before you attach to your email?

Yes can open them from the document folder. Doing attach file in the email. Never had problems before. Getting more success with Hotmail today, but the Talk Talk email just isn't having it.

My brother has endless hassle with Talk Talk email - i have to guess whether he might have seen stuff or not.

I do have issues with some Hotmail people, too.

    Gmail works for me.

Yes, I'd get a gmail account or use Outlook (the program not the website)

Actually thinking about it, the problems started when Talk Talk said they had improved their system the other day and I had problems logging back in at first.

Have got a gmail account, but never used it. (Must have it as I made a note of the password in my diary and just keep transferring it to the next years diary)

Got an idea my emails are on outlook .....don't know what I'm doing on it, will have to get son to have a look next time I see him ...

    Thanks folks

We use gmail at work now too, it's well worth using, and you'll get the emails on your phone more easily
