Help with Music for a Fashion Show?

right, ive just had a bit of a panic as i agreed last minute to do a few sets at a fashion show this thursday.....but its suddenly dawned on me that i dont know what music to use! im not a music buff at all and find it difficult to remember the names of the artists/tracks i do like at the best of times...so im really struggling with this.

to be honest, im not even sure how many models i have, how many sets im doing or even what they are going to be modelling yet....but that is easily solveable pretty swiftly.

but the music, this is more of a headache as its not something ive done before.

i may have up to 5 sets with probably a maximum of 6 models:

burlesque themed
bridal themed
pieces from my millinery class
'everyday'
+1 more possibly

im thinking along the lines of either songs that may involve hats (may be a bit cheesy) or that fit the general theme e.g the burlesque hats are very crystal heavy so maybe 'diamonds are a girls best friend' (the monroe version) would fit.

have you got any ideas you can throw into the pot?

thanks,

x

job done :teef::up:

edit: actually, i was being facetious (i know, i know, hard to believe) but in reality it probably wouldn't hurt to check out some of the tracks on that CD (on youtube or something) and see if they're any good!

yeah, my only worry is making sure i have it by thursday afternoon!

ideally im hoping to try and just download some tracks online and burn them onto a cd....but i actually need to check what format the dj wants them in!

i dont know that i want all of it to be burlesque themed though, it may not be suitable really for the bridal section.

will still go an have a look at the cds though...for myself if nothing else! :)

thanks,

whilst im sold....i think the models may have issues finding the 'beat' to walk to!

based on the ones ive met over the years, im afraid they are somewhat lacking in culture, not pigeonhole or anyway, simply my experiene.
