I'm sorry to hear about the poor situation you have found youself in, it's never nice to find things out like this :( I hope you get it sorted buddy but don't go and do anything stupid like hitting the other bloke, you're kids will have to do without a dad then for a couple of years too.

My parents are on speaking terms and sorted out stuff themselves (they ignored the CSA because they are sh*te). It is much better to be able to deal with things calmly between yourselves as you are still both the parents and must continue to work as a team for the sake of the children.

I suggest going to Relate or similar. This doesn't have to mean the end of your relationship, but if it is, talking things through with someone to mediate will help greatly with damage reduction. Last I knew, they're at SDVS but see their website: www.relate.org.uk.
