No, of course it won't - it is largely just a means of laundering tax money back to "the people that should have it".

Will it though? No through trains to Europe as HS2 stops at Euston and anyone wanting to go onwards will have to get over to St Pancras.
HS2 has been a missed opportunity and is an example of London centric planning. Linking cities with the major airports and having through trains into the European rail network would have been a much more worthwhile project.

I have a vision of you in a crisp white linen suit with a matching panama hat.Lago di Como again...
If your felling relatively adventurous and like a mix of stuff (and like Italy) - fly cheaply into Geneva, one night there, then catch the train through the Alps to Milan. Take the train to Como, head to the ferry port and take the slow boat up the Lake (villa porn and wave at George Clooney) Stay at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo (if you've just had an inheritance) or Albergo Lenno and spend a day or so on the Lake.
Next get on the rattler to Venice and stay at The Excelsior on the Lido (its like going back to 1964 and you get the best of both worlds - a beach and free boat shuttles to St Marks)...then cheap flight home from Venice
Bingo

I went to Bude years and years ago there was a swiming pool right next to the sea - is it still there? What's peoples opinion on Bude, Cornwall. I've been to Bude twice now and have felt underwhelmed.
I love Cornwall and I have had two very enjoyable holidays at Wooda Farm on the outskirts of Bude with sea views. However I find Bude itself disappointing. I have only discovered a few decent pubs / restaurants and it seems to me to be a very average sea side village with not much going on. For me, it comes no where near to Polperro or St Ives in terms of attractiveness and amenities. However, its now my wife's families preferred holiday destination mainly because of the caravan park.
I will soon upset the family when I suggest another caravan park (possibly inferior) but in a better seaside town.
Am I missing something?!
