Excellent, is it dear?
I think it was 350g for £5.99 for the reindeer, the others were the same price, but different weights...

It's in the middle of the re-organised freezer section, it a largely white-ish box.

I quite like reindeer, does he sell that?
Mr Anslow has sold reindeer in the past, but it wasn't a good seller and he doesn't stock it regularly these days. He does recommend that you try his kudu or springbok, if reindeer's the sort of thing you like..
Where is this gentlemans shop, I would like to give him some business?

Sandon Road - almost opposite the Princess Royal - between Freeman Street and Corporation Street.

Here.

I have driven past many times but never been in, I will give him a try and see if he has any decent meat rather than this stuff without any fat they seem to sell everywhere else.

You need fat on a piece of meat for it to cook properly otherwise it will turn out tastless and dry.

I love a bit of pork with a good layer of fat and a nice bit of crackling on the top, can't beat it!

+1 and where would you get beef dripping from without a good layer of nice creamy yellow fat.

ive had horse meat in france....i liked it.

im not a big steak fan and it was definitely preferable.

as someone who has a penchant for ponyskin accessories; shoes, handbags, belts and the like it would be hypocritical of me to advocate anything less than eating the by product of the skin.

God yeah, you see some awful lean cuts in the supermarket that you just know will go like leather.

i recently discovered pork belly and boy is that yummy!

that certainly fits into the fatty meat category, but is so delicious for it.

i have to admit that im the sort of person that keeps the skin on their duck and roast chicken so a bit of grease doesnt faze me lol

You are absolutely right belly pork is the best pork, and the cheapest, you can buy!

The fat is not just on the outside but is what they call marbled, mixed in with the meat so when it cooks it melts into the meat.

Mind you some belly pork is getting too lean these days!

Very nice on a BBQ with a bit of seasoning, also the fat dripping onto the coals makes the flames great for finishing off burgers. Mmmm, BBQ.

He's North of the Uttoxeter railway - more likely to be a banjo, and all six fingers....
