Conflicting information is floating around as to weather or not (pun intended) hosepipe restrictions will be brought in, the grass in my field is crackling underfoot, it stopped growing days ago and if this dry and sunny spell continues for much longer it will all be dead.
I was talking with a friend who informed me that ban or no ban she will still be filling the paddling pool and watering the garden and I was wondering how many other people choose to carry on regardless.
It'll be a nightmare for us if it does come in with 30 odd newly planted trees, three large areas of new hedging and several areas of freshly seeded grass that so far isn't doing much other than feeding the pigeons, as far as I'm aware we could still use the hose for the animals which would be far more convenient than lugging water troughs around several times a day but the garden will more than likely end up being lost.
