House to rent needed rather urgently

Wot ho folks !

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas of any houses up for rent ST16/St17 area ?

Reason asking is that theres loads of very suitable ones coming up from all the estate agents in the area and just when you get ready to sign the dotted line . You get told about a delay or the fact that it's not quite ready or something else keeps cropping up at the last minute .

Which having now viewed 15 houses in the last 4 days is becoming frankly very tiresome to say the least .

So aiming to try and avoid the Agent types and looking more for a friendly owner/landlord to deal with directly .

local paper was a bit dissapointing to be honest virtually nothing worth going for .which was abit surprising as happy to pay range £480-£580 pcm which should be ok .

So ..

Need home for a young working couple small boy and faithful pet Jack Russel ( good manners and housetrained) . Aiming to relocate in 3-4 weeks max .

3 beds would be ideal, 2 if large rooms . CH, DG and all the other stuff that comes with it . standard I suppose so not looking for anything unrealistic just a nice home not too far from town .

Big kitchen=Big bonus

Agencies are as previously said proving to be a little too "red tapey " . So would like to avoid the hassle really . Oh and the admin fees !

References available if needed ,

any chance anyone could help ?
feel free to PM or post on forum

Cheers in advance .

i feel your pain, Jheych.. i was due to view a lovely house on castlefields on friday, only to be phoned 30 mins before the viewing and told the house was off the market..

i too would desperately love to avoid the letting agents.. i have nothing but bad experiences with them, and the one time i managed to find a privately advertised flat (i.e. so i dealt directly with the landlord and there was no agency involved) it was an absolute joy.. i'd much rather build a relationship with the owner of the place i'm living than some hormonal banshee who seemingly wants to squeeze every last penny out of both sides of a tenancy agreement!

prob about 550, depending on size and location. All when I looked late last year were 500-600, although the 600 ones weren't moving much. We pay 550 for a large 3 double bedroom place with garden/garage, although ours needs a bit of touching up in places.

I paid 595 for a 3 storey town house on meadowcroft park with drive, garage and a small garden. Had 3 double bedrooms one with en-suite. That was over 12 montha ago though. Might be worth looking on Rightmove

My mate's house is currently up for rent @ £550....3 beds but no parking. It is, however, in the social hotspot that is Castletown, so perhaps that boosts the asking price a tad..
