There always seems to be at least half a dozen guests viewing the forum no matter what time of day or night you log on? I know it's an interesting read but I would have thought it would have had a niche audience.

For quite a while I viewed the forum without registering, although I obviously wasn't doing so 24/7. If there are lots of people doing the same then there will be a number of guests at any one time.

In the 2001 census, Stafford had a population of 63,681 so six people reading about their own town isn't that many. Plus there will be a few people from outside of Stafford who are interested and have connections.

That's my guess, anyway!

I spot "lurkers" on here any time of day or night. Sometimes I come on to read some posts on my mobile phone's internet, and it's far too fiddly to log in or even remember my password, so I'd imagine I'd come up as a guest.

Also, there could be people from Stafford Virginia who come here by accident.

I think the most common "guest" would be the various search engine robots out there like GoogleBot et al.
