I have managed to be awarded an xtc clip which is used to unlock, root and s-off pretty much all htc phones, if you are one of HTC phone users and would like your phone unlocked why not get in touch and i will do it for FREE.

forgot to mention if the xtc clip is used to unlock it does not void warranty as it is factory done.

Hello I have been looking at rooting my HTC phone for a while and have searched the XDA forums and looked a endless you tube videos and have been put off by the thought of bricking my phone. I have removed the branding but I am unable to install the OTA update and would like the new Gingerbread Android. I have seen the clips for sale for around £35 are they that good?

The clip i got awarded does all htc phones but i would say its better if you know how to use them, the one i have been given puts the phone into developer mode so it does the unlock without causing any damage, that is as long as you know what to do so to speak. But I personally would say oh yeah they are worth the money just depends if that clips just does one phone or does them all.

The one i had was only htc phones for set reason's

Thanks for the information do you know the best place to purchase one from? I have a Desire but would not want to limit my options. To do other models is it a case of loading the roms on the computer and getting the different leads or is all the magic preformed via the cable that replaces the sim card?

the magic is done by the box itself, but it needs to connect to your computer and you have to tell it which phone it is doing, I couldn't say where you get them from as i was awarded mine

I'm considering rooting my HTC Desire too as it is the original and the internal memory needs to be bigger! Annoyed with all the rubbish Orange put onto the phone as Standard too.
