Hi I have to do 4 hours of community work. Does anyone know of any where I can do some volunteering work in Stafford.

Charity shops, House of Bread, various churches, youth groups, Scouts, Age Concern home visiting, Wildlife Trust, etc..

What sort of thing is your bag?

Phyllis.....when you say "have to" as opposed to "want to"......

Well, could you elaborate?

There are lots of people that read this forum that could be in a position to help but they may need a little bit more information about you.

I was assuming it would be for something like a DoE Award, rather than a "Community Service Order"...

Any really like children

I've noticed that both St. Paul's and the Methodist churches have something called 'messy church' days, which one can only assume involves kiddy play sessions.

I used to volunteer at a Mum 'n' Baby play type thing which tends to be quite a widespread activity.

But yes, a bit more info might help on the narrowing down front.

Messiness is available at St Bertelin's, Trinity, The Green (Baptist), St Peter's Rickerscote, the Elim Christian Centre and possibly others..

Intriguing W, would you care to elaborate ? Were you a mum or a baby? I think we should be told.

I was, indeed still am, neither.

Surely what's more intriguing is that you haven't noticed that there is a little blue Reply thing at the bottom right of everyone's offerings.

Clicky clicky. :)

I am in a perfect position to appreciate how one falls into these things.

I never actually wanted to do the Mum 'n' Baby gig. I didn't want the effing cat either.

Sometimes a man's got to do etc etc...

I would imagine that "have to" means that she needs to make up her working hours for tax credits purposes or something similar.

I'd happily give anyone 4 hours of voluntary work delivering some leaflets for me each week if it was plausable and legal for me to do so?
