You mean Tenshon hasn't educated you in the way of the typesetter?

DTP = desktop publishing. Kerning = spaces between characters.

Bet you wished you hadn't asked.

I've got better things to teach Miss T than how to type set.

I've done a lot of research into bar names, and for every well named venue out there, you will find a bar somewhere else in the world with the same name. There is a Forum Bar in Sheffield but does that mean you can't have one in Stafford? Other ideas being thrown around include The Borough Bar (which has a reference to Stafford) but there's one in New York, but does that matter? For me The Forum works in the same way that The Social works (London and Nottingham) – it has a sense of community – which is the whole idea. I don't see the point in an a bar which is irrelevantly named like Whiskey Blue, Leopard Lounge or Tongue & Groove (all real bars) – I think Stafford deserves a venue that better represents the town and its people.

So which establishment(s) are you looking at taking over Tenshon? Was there talk about the Sun?

yeah, whilst it may have sounded like a self-promotional joke, my "Forum" suggestion was real, for exactly this reason.. i think the name lends itself to an air of community, discussion, and socialising - all things that a good bar should be :)

it's one of the few places in sheffield i like to go :meh:

plus that new common room is the shiznit..

personally i think the forum in sheffield is totally overrated.

the prices are daft, the service is rubbish (for food and drink), the only redeeming features it has is that the music they play can be good and that they use their wallspace as art exhibition space.

id love to say that its gone downhill....but its been like that for the 9 years ive known of its existence.

the common room is ok- ish, unless you want to people watch....those booths totally rule that out.

Twere only the first example of a bar called "The Forum" which I found on Google, which I was using to illustrate my point that it's not a very original name.

For this reason I cannot be held accountable for your rantings against said venue.
